This is THE opportunity in 2026!
There are open calls. Many of them are run professionally and with good intentions. But at the same time, submission fees have become increasingly common.
Of course, charging a fee doesn’t automatically make an open call less serious.
But when you look closer, a pattern emerges: there's money collected, while the entire entrepreneurial risk is shifted onto the artist — who already carries that risk anyway.
And still, artists apply. Because we’re always looking for opportunities: to show our work, to enter new conversations, maybe to be represented by an additional gallery.
But why not simply turn the perspective around? So here’s my open call.
The best part: Submissions are free!
PS: I promise to consider international applications too.
PSS: I promise that I won't extend the deadline due to the amazing demand - I just didn't set one... ;-)
